The designs in this project are inspired by the cosmos and kaleidoscopy.
Coined in 1817 by Scottish inventor Sir David Brewster , “kaleidoscope” is derived from the ancient Greek καλός ( kalos ), “beautiful, beauty“, εἶδος ( eidos ), “that which is seen: form, shape” and σκοπέω ( skopeō ),”to look towards, to examine“, hence “the observation of beautiful forms“.
My fascination with the night sky and personal connection to the cosmos drove my final project’s research and inspiration.
Exploring astrology, constellations, asterisms, and planets, I transformed these celestial elements into captivating print designs, resulting in a project I thoroughly enjoyed and take great pride in.
